Belly Dance Your Spine Back to Health!

According to our chiropractor in Stoke on Trent, around 80% of us will experience some sort of back pain at some point in our lives.  With this alarming figure in mind, we should all be strengthening our back and core muscles to reduce the risk of back pain developing and alleviate any existing discomfort or pain.

Most of us will have heard of the benefits of exercise such as Yoga and Pilates to help condition our muscles but few are aware of how fantastic belly dancing can be!  Belly dancing works the same core and back muscles as Pilates but in a much more fun and engaging way – which means we are more likely to practice it more often and incorporate the proper posture into our everyday lives.

Who would have known that “shaking your belly like a bowl of jelly” could have such a positive impact on your spine health!
