A Post Xmas Lunch Walk Could Do You A Power Of Good

healthy living advice from our stoke on trent chiropractors Our chiropractors at City Chiropractic Clinic in Stoke on Trent are always looking to encourage people to take regular exercise. With Christmas looming we thought we’d get in early with something fun for you to add to your Christmas plans this year!

We know that thinking about post Xmas lunch activities may not be high on your list but you have to love us for trying!

Let’s admit post Xmas activities for most of us involve watching a movie we’ve seen at least once before, handing around the Quality Streets and dropping to sleep on the sofa! Why not this year skip all of these and grab your coats, scarves and gloves and head out doors for a walk.

Walking offers so many health and well being benefits and it’s simple to do, most everyone can take part and it’s free (good to know after Xmas!). A good brisk walk after Xmas lunch will not only burn of all those extra calories gained during Xmas lunch bt it will also blow away the cobwebs and can lift our mood.

The good news is that there are plenty of great places to go for a walk in and around Stoke on Trent. You may not be aware but Stock is one of the greenest cities in the UK. There are lots of green spaces, beautiful parks, gardens and open spaces to enjoy. These include Westport Lake and Park Hall Country Park. We have off road paths, greenways, canal towpaths and river routes to chose from.

Why are our chiropractors so keen to get us up and active?

There is much evidence to support the positive impact that taking regular exercise can have on our health and well being, which in our chiropractors’ opinions is a good thing. In addition there is evidence to support the importance of exercise in maintaining a spine and helping to prevent and manage back pain.

Why not give yourself a healthy gift this Xmas and get outdoors for  walk. It may inspire you to add a walking to your schedule every day in 2019!

Taking a post Xmas lunch walk could do you a power of good – so go for it.
