On Your Feet Britain Day – Stand Up to Your Right to Be Healthy!

City Chiropractors are calling out to all of you to take part in On Your Feet Britain day. Are you going to join in?

On the 29th April, people across the country will be making simple changes to their day to stand more and sit less! As chiropractors working in a busy clinic, we are on our feet most of the day.

Sitting for more than 4 hours each day can lead to:

  • An interruption in blood sugar levels
  • Enzymes responsible for burning harmful blood fats shutting down
  • Reduced metabolic rate (responsible for burning calories)
  • An increase in insulin and blood pressure
  • Leg muscles “switching off”

It is also believed that people who regularly sit for more than 4 hours a day may be more at risk of developing a host of health conditions including heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and cancer.

Sitting down for long durations is also no good on your spine health, as we know too well!
