Goal 1: Move!

Your position is just as important as that of the players on the pitch; every twenty minutes, stand up and move around. Make sure you are active at half time – there’s plenty of time to get those muscles moving during the 15 minute TV break. (You may even feel inspired to have a kick-about yourself!)

Goal 2: Straighten Up!

Poor posture is the cause of many back and neck complaints, so be careful not to slump as you’re watching the game. Rest your back against the back of your sofa/ chair – this will allow you to sit in a much safer position.

Goal 3: On the Head with Your Drinks!

Drink water instead of alcohol and avoid caffeine rich drinks such as tea and coffee. Not only will plenty of water keep you hydrated, but it will help you to better concentrate on the game!
