Your First Visit to City Chiropractic Clinic in Stoke
City Chiropractic Clinic is conveniently located in the heart of Stoke, near Stoke-on-Trent’s city centre. Parking spaces are available across the street to the clinic for those arriving by car. There are many bus routes running close to the clinic, for those travelling by bus, providing frequent bus services to and from Stoke.
On arrival at the clinic, you will be welcomed by our reception team who will put you ease in the clinic’s calm and relaxing environment. They will help you complete the necessary paperwork before seeing your chiropractor. They will also gather information about your Digital Posture Analysis.
You will then be introduced to your chiropractor who will undertake a comprehensive consultation and examination. During the consultation, your chiropractor will go through a thorough review of the history of your condition, your past medical history and your lifestyle. Your examination will include a full chiropractic, orthopaedic and neurological examination.
Following your consultation and examination your chiropractor will require some time to consider your condition, You will be asked to make another appointment so that your chiropractor can go through their findings with you.

On your follow up appointment, also known as the Report of Findings, your chiropractor will explain your problem, how to address it, how long it is likely to take to resolve it and how to stop the problem recurring.
Once you understand your condition and what to expect as far as treatment is concerned, if applicable and with your permission, your chiropractor will begin treatment.

What Happens Next?
Your treatment plan will be tailored to your individual needs. Treatment normally falls into three phases:
1# Relief Care Phase: This is the initial phase of your care and it’s main aim is to reduce your symptoms. During this phase you may be given exercise and ergonomic advice to follow.
2# Rehabilitation or Corrective Phase: The aim of this phase is to further improve the function of your joints, muscles, and nervous system and to promote complete healing.
3# Prevention or Maintenance Phase: The aim of this phase is to maintain the improved function achieved with treatment. If you are at risk of recurrence of your symptoms your chiropractor will provide you self-advice to follow.
