Is The Pram to Blame for Your Back Pain?

There are few things that create such a fuzzy feeling as walking your new born baby around in their beautiful new pram. But according to our Stoke on Trent chiropractor, many new mums and dads are putting their backs at risk by pushing their prams incorrectly. More than half the adult population of the UK suffers from back pain and parents are often hit particularly hard.

Lower back pain is a common complaint among new parents, and prams (or how people push them) are often to blame. The “head down, bending over” position that many parents take to push a heavy pram (especially uphill) can wreck havoc on the lower back

To protect your back while pushing your pram, make sure you stand tall and keep your hips as close to the pram as possible.  After all, you may be a Superhero parent, but your spine only has human powers
